Report on The Women's Forum at the 2004 SiB Conference in Zurich
by Karen Buckley, Founder and co-Director of the Wisdom Leadership Initative

The Women’s Forum: The Wisdom and Power of Women Leaders: Stories of Inspiration and Action wove together an enriching and memorable experience for over 100 women and men. The women leaders on the stage spoke from deep within their hearts as they described how their connection with spirit in their lives infuses their courageous leadership. The touching conversations at the tables once again emphasized that it is time for women and men to use their feminine wisdom in order to lead the world away from insanity and destruction.

This Forum created an environment of sharing for the women and men in attendance. They had tears in their eyes and a softening of heart as they relaxed into the gentle feminine atmosphere of respect, nurture and beauty.

One colleague spoke about his new insight: “I now understand that I need to not just make room for women in my company but to change the company so that it is welcoming to the wisdom of women leaders and then put them in the top positions.

The Women's Forum gave us all a deeper insight into the importance of the application of the wisdom of the feminine, in both men and women, for the sustainable future we all want. Synergistic connections appear to be building for future forums and welcomed changes in business. The Wisdom Leadership Initiative will continue this work through upcoming retreats and forums planned for 2005 and 2006. Please visit our website for more information.

The Women’s Forum was produced through a collaboration of Spirit in Business and The Wisdom Leadership Initiative, a project inspired by SiB in 2003.
