Key activities of our network

Conferences - both online and offline events, are a key part of the SiB offerings together with retreats and quests they complement the range of projects of SiB.

Leadership Retreats - Obtaining non-linear improvements in performance taking teams into a retreat program.As one example Michael Walleczek's Klausur program at Cranfield and at Lassalle.


Spirit in Business Metrics - Led by Frank Dixon, Sander Tideman and Terry Mollner a specific set of metrics that differentiates itself from the broader corporate social responsibility and addresses specific SiB criteria intends to develop high-performing investment products, with the awareness that business needs to measure results.

The International Spirit at Work Award - A joint project of the World Business Academy, the Association of Spirit at Work, the European Baha’i Business Forum and Spirit In Business to locate and honor successful businesses and their leaders who make it a high priority to include the power of spirit in their organizations worldwide - companies leading in an emerging trend: spirituality moving from personal into organizational programs.

The Feminine Dimension in Business - Led by Karen Buckley and involving Amy Lenzo, Anna Gamma, Sonja Vissinga, Avril Reed, Beth Robinson, Sabine Bredemeyer and other outstanding women Stewards, a dense programme of workshops, breakfast meetings and other projects is under way.


Leadership Wilderness Trails - Following a number of Leadership Retreats in South Africa, Mark Tigchelaar, Robert-Jan van Ogtrop, Syb Roëll, Marcello Palazzi, Jan Willem Kirpestein, together with Antony Burgmans and Fred Matser are launching a new organization to deliver Wilderness Trails.


Dialogue Dinners - Conceived and organized by Sonja Vissinga, in cooperation with Sander Tideman and Marcello Palazzi, a series of evening dinners for small groups of leaders engaged in deep and personal dialogue about the substance of leadership and enterprise has been launched. Keynote speakers, such as Unilever’s Chairman Antony Burgmans and the Dutch Economic and Social Commission’s Chairman Herman Wijffels, are featuring.


• Projects with Encounter of World Views - An initiative by Jan Willem Kirpestein and colleagues. Encounter aims at the search for intrinsic ways for a process of mutual trust building, the identification of hidden barriers between different worlds and the achievement of reconciled diversity. Encounter’s activities aim to join other efforts from global society to promote a deep encounter of worldviews for collaborating in the foundation of a better world. SiB is partnering with Encounter in the organization of a leadership programme in China.


Human Spirit at Work - Training videos/DVDs & guides, as well as interactive multimedia e-learning tools - to help managers and staff enhance the energy and spirit in our relationship across our differences, thereby maximising our personal, interpersonal and organizational effectiveness - being developed and co-produced by Lewis Griggs and Kim Weichel.
